What an ENT clinic actually does in MyOPIP

Notes, prescriptions, follow-up, and surgery stay on one patient chart.

Outpatient notes

Record history and examination in free-form fields, including ear, nose, and throat findings, without forcing every visit into a rigid template.

Prescriptions

Search a database of more than 20,000 brand and generic drugs, reuse templates, and check allergies and interactions before the prescription is issued.

Follow-up visits

Book the next visit from the same system. Surgical discharge documentation can include follow-up care plans alongside the summary and orders.

Procedures and surgery

Schedule procedures across hospitals, keep the operative notes with the record, and generate discharge summaries from the same chart.

Built by a doctor who still sees ENT patients

Dr Joel G Mathew is an ENT specialist and endoscopic surgeon in Thiruvananthapuram, and the founder of Geekmaze Software, the company behind MyOPIP. He has described MyOPIP as software he built because day-to-day clinic tools did not fit his own ENT practice: multi-location records, appointments, prescriptions, certificates, invoicing, and procedure reporting.

His clinic site, Dr Joel’s Clear ENT Clinic, describes more than 24 years of clinical work in ear, nose, throat, and endoscopic surgery. MyOPIP is the practice system that came out of that work. It is sold by Geekmaze Software.

Practical questions

Is MyOPIP only for large hospitals?

No. The Starter plan is for a solo practice. Clinic and Multi-Clinic plans add staff roles, inventory, and cross-clinic access. A single doctor can use one account in more than one location.

Can I keep writing notes the way I already do?

Yes. Documentation is free-form, with structured data where you want it.

Does it replace my drug reference?

Prescription search covers more than 20,000 brand and generic medicines, with templates you can customise. Allergy blocking and drug-interaction checks run as part of prescribing.

What happens to my records if I stop?

The terms state that you can export data in supported formats while the subscription is active. After termination, data is retained for 30–90 days for retrieval, then may be deleted. Keep your own export where the law requires it.

Can I try it without a sales call?
